Dude, I will agree with you on this one. I have the first 7 books and I love them so much BECAUSE they are just awful. I love how stupid it is--everyone randomly talking to themselves in this ridiculous melodramatic prose. But I am still gonna follow it if I can. That is, if these are even AVAILABLE anywhere anymore...

Does this contain any stories of the Blackhawks? The contents of these annuals are a pain to ferret out as no one, it seems, has collated that data. Thanks!!!

Bob

I like the audio commentary. Personally I am almost done with the current super-hero titles from both Marvel and DC. I know I am not the target audience for all of these changes, but I have seen it done one time too many. I am still buying some current comics like Fables and anything JMS does, but for the most part I will stick with the old tales.

Something I'm not sure you've looked into for a feature: Downloading comics. Just like the music industry, there are hundreds of people who scan the comics and put them on torrent sites for anyone with the will to download. There's even special software to read the books with on one's computer.
I'd be interested to hear what industry people have to say about this, and whether or not they're pursuing legal action.
BTW: Secret Invasion had a great premise, thought it ended to abruptly. Reading House of M now (I know it's out of sequence) then onto Dark Reign.

Might be working reverse here, but whatever.
I got the Superman/Madman comic when it cam out, but I don't remember anything about it. I love Allred's art though.

Man, do I miss the Adventure in DC Universe series. It was so good.

Aquaman, I tried it, and didn't like it.

Mitch Byrd: I've seen his art in other places that I have I liked it, but man I hated his art in the Guy Gardner series.

Astro City: I've always enjoyed this series, but it has been so long since the last one it is hard to remember what was going on.

One time I put out two longboxes of old comics at a yard sale, and some woman came by and swore up and down that I was giving away "valuable" books worth lots of money. Little did she know -- not that she would listen -- that I had thousands more comics that weren't for sale, and I'd never sell the books that ARE worth something. Certainly not at a yard sale.

And for all her yapping, she didn't buy any of them.

Another woman came along and said I had overpriced the books at 50 cents apiece and that she had been at a flea market and bought an entire longbox for $10. So I said, "Give me $10, and it's yours!" But she wouldn't.

A friend of mine does this when he sells his comics on ebay:
Offer free shipping. A lot of times people are willing to up their price by more than what he would charge for shipping anyways. It doesn't always work obviously, but more often than not it does.

I just read Amazon #3 last night. I thought the art was great, but I think the story would have been told better if it wasn't jammed into three issues. It seems to be a real fine line for me to have a story that has details glossed over, and a story that seems padded. I just think this one could have been a little longer.
