Superman -- The way he ought to be?



I was reading "Another Nail," a DC Elseworlds story from a few years back. Entertaining stuff by one of my favorite artists, Alan Davis. What struck me most was his representation of Superman as a peace-loving hero with ties to the Amish.
I don't know why, but when I read the above panel as Superman and Martian Manhunter were facing off with Despero and Evil Star, I just said "Wow. Now that's the way I love to see Superman."
