The last few days, I was doing a little volunteer work for the  Captain Comics web site.
My task? Create a bunch of avatars for the messageboard posters to use.
One of the first sites I went to for images was the site featuring the art of Gene Gonzales.
Gene, a Native American, is a fantastic artist who  I've had the privilege of talking to  several times at the Pittsburgh Comicon.


Gene is a great conventioneer because he's  always a hit at the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund  Quick Sketch opportunities, thanks to his Adam Hughes-like art.
He's also done work for a variety of publishers and his own Tales of the Cherokee books.
