The Challenge of Blue Beetle

To me, the Blue Beetle kind of represents the Batman as portrayed in the Adam West/Burt Ward TV series — Plenty of gadgets, decent fighting and detective skills, a generally cheery outlook on life and an oddball sense of humor (but not necessarily the high-camp of the show).
Of course, I wouldn't want a Blue Beetle comic to be an exact copy of that TV series, as it would be nice to have serious adventures and be taken seriously by the general public (both by comic readers and the public and heroes in the DCU).
