Should movers handle your comic books?

You can allow a moving company to transport your comics. If you do, I have a few suggestions:
  1. Cherry pick your most valuable comics and transport them yourself.
  2. Tape your other boxes shut with a tape that acts like a security seal.
  3. Number each box and box top.
  4. Record the general contents of each box.
  5. Give them to the movers. Let them know you've "security sealed" the boxes.
  6. Let them move the stuff.
  7. Make sure all your boxes are accounted for.
  8. Make sure none of the seals are broken.
  9. If they're broken, let the movers know.
